Hansel and Gretel [collection] : a fairy opera in three acts / by Adelheid Wette ; music by Engelbert Humperdinck. 1894-1905.

Arranged in three groups; I. Vocal scores (16). II. Chorus parts (65). III. Promptbooks (1). The vocal scores include a German edition by Schott (Mainz, c1894), several copies of which include handwritten English translation, and an English edition by Schirmer (New York, c1895). Two of the Schirmer copies are labelled "Director's score," containing performance annotations throughout, and two are labelled "Stage manager's guide," containing interleaved pages of handwritten stage directions. The holograph chorus parts, in English, are for the children's voices, and the promptbook, also in English, is typescript and has uncut pages.
